Among all the virgins, Esther found favor and grace in King Ahasuerus’s eyes. Instead of Vashti, he made her his queen. She was crowned queen of 127 nations.
We can learn from Esther’s virtues that it is always right to do the right thing, even when the circumstances appear to be opposite. Even though she felt God’s absence, she did not give up and clung to God for victory. She fasted and poured her heart to God.
A moral to learn from Esther’s story is:
“Waiting period may be difficult but pursuing God to the fullest at those times will give you the victory”
Virtues of Queen Esther
- Esther means “star” – She shone like a star to all the Jewish people.
- Esther was beautiful, and the king was pleased to see her, and she was favored by the king over all other women.
- She was not an outspoken person. She held secrets and conveyed them only at the appropriate time.
- Her uncle Mordecai took her in as an orphan and raised her. She was obedient to him and relied on his authority.
- She was determined to rescue the land of Judah and fasted for three days and nights.
- She was a wise and brave woman who could handle difficult situations.
- She waited patiently to speak to the king at the right time.
