FATHER’S UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

As I looked out of the window, feeling the gushing wind on my face as the train moved fast, thinking about my 29th birthday and hoping to have a memorable day, a sudden thought came to my mind. It was about the kind of love God shows me, a lost sheep.

Being a young teenager, full of zeal for Christ, committing my life to His will and being baptised, I didn't understand the spiritual realm that was around me. I am a dedicated daughter in my family, and from my childhood, I have seen His love and grace in many ways and seen small prayers being answered. But when I stepped into the real world, I saw the wolves snarling at me. God chose me to be His own and Satan had his plans to destroy that.

Seeking worldly love and friendship took me far away from my Father. If not for Him, I would not be here today. I was the lost sheep. When we wander away from God's presence, demons take over our lives and keep us entirely away from God. They show us a better life around us and make us feel secure with worldly things. Being young and vibrant, too curious to explore new things, young men and women easily fall for earthly pleasures and destroy their lives.

The parable of the Prodigal Son is a standard example of a Father's love for his children. The father gave his son everything he asked for, and when the son wandered away from his home, he went bankrupt and had to live among pigs.

"God's love is unconditional, no matter who you are or what you are, you are accepted when you repent"

When we seek him earnestly, we will find Him. Confession and reconciliation can restore the joy and peace in Christ. Luke 15: 4 says,

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

One day he was reminded of his father's house and decided to walk back home, puzzled if he would be accepted at least as a servant. But to his surprise, his father, who was standing at the house gate waiting for his son to return, ran to him and hugged him. He put on one of his rings, clothed himself richly, and had a banquet to celebrate his son's return. This is the love that our heavenly Father has for each perishing soul. When a soul is saved, heaven rejoices. There is no comfort greater than God's love.

God is love and when His children wander away, He comes in search of us to save and redeem us back to Him.

Cory Asbury wrote a song "Reckless Love" and the lines "The overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, It chases me down, fights till I am found, leaves the 99" are the exact words I can put my whole life into and here I am alive to see my 31st year. When I look back, I saw his loving arms embracing me, saw Him carrying me in His arms through the difficult times and pain. Now I can boldly say "I am His and He is Mine".

I still don't know what He saw in me to love me this much, but here I am saved by His grace, and yes, it is Free!

The unconditional love of God is entirely free and without any demand. All we need to do is confess, accept, and submit to Him.

Rest.......Daddy will take care!
