The church is the grand mission and vision of the sovereign God where people experience the mediating presence, the transforming grace and the benevolence of Gods goodness in the person and message of Jesus Christ. The church is the laboratory where individual men and women are transformed into the fullness of His Son, Lord Jesus Christ. Its a crucible which moulds and shapes the ordinary into the finest product of the Master-Designer. Its a place where individuals are transformed from a mere creation of God into Gods masterpiece.
Vision
Our vision is to see a visible dynamic transformational Church in every village, colony, town and city of our country and beyond.
Purpose
The Church Development Department exists to see worshipping communities established in every village, colony, town and city of our nation and beyond, thereby to glorify God and fulfil the Great Commission of our Lord. This is being realized by obediently going into the world and making Disciples of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, equipping the co-workers and believers to form a community of believers and empowering them to radiate Christ-like nature in their living context.
INEC, The Church Planting endeavour of HBI had her humble beginning with 17 workers in 1987 and grew to be a significant Church Planting Movement in Asia reaching communities and transforming lives. It was first called as the National Evangelical Fellowship (NEF) to indicate its national commitment and later as Indian National Evangelical Fellowship (INEF) to highlight the indigenous methods of fulfilling the mission of the Lord and finally rechristened as Indian National Evangelical Churches (INEC) to signify the ecclesial function in transforming lives and discipling communities. God enabled INEC to fulfil the task of reaching the nations and thus becoming global and international in the 25th year of its existence (2012). The God of the Missions enlarged the territories of INEC by helping to transcend beyond the nation to impact communities far and wide.
From the modest beginnings, INEC witnessed the indescribable presence of God and the mediating presence of His Spirit, as scores and scores of lives are transformed by the sharing of the good news of Jesus Christ by ordinary Church planters of INEC. INEC in its three decades of existence had a foretaste of the work of the Spirit of God in diverse communities across the length and breadth of India and beyond. The leadership and the task force of INEC are committed to disseminating the word of God to transform lives and communities. All of the transformational outcomes indicate not the skill, efforts, endeavours and initiatives of INEC or of its leadership but poignantly reflect the glory of God as people and communities are led from darkness into marvellous light.
INEC evolved from an institution of 17 workers into a significant church planting institution where around 844 committed Pastors' labour for the realization of the kingdom of God in 23 states of India and in the adjoining countries of Nepal and Bhutan. Over 10,118 Churches / Worshipping Communities have been planted during these three decades of committed service by the Pastors and leaders of INEC. All Glory and Honor be unto the Lord of Harvest who used the mortal ones to execute His mission.
INEC and its church planters are committed to fulfilling the great commission by planting 20,000 churches, discipling 20,00,000 people and equipping 2000 church planters by 2025 A.D. This great task is possible and achievable by sincere prayers, committed engagement and sacrificial partnership of the body of Christ with this church planting movement.
INEC is committed to a five-fold approach to see its vision fulfilled viz. Church Development, Leadership Development, Child Development, Member Care and Women Development. As we continue to trust the Lord of harvest and watch Him do great and wonderful things, we ask you to continue to pray for us and partner in this great mission of God.
Come join us in this great vision to transform the communities and reach the nations !
